I still can see it outside my window. Ten years, twenty years, Freedom towers, whatever, I think they'll always stand there for me. It's not possible to wipe clean what your heart remembers.

Dumb, FAA, real dumb. Yes, okay a 747 to fly LOW in lower Manhattan, around Ground Zero, circling at around the same time on a similarly clear day. Then trail two fighter jets after it.

Less than a minute when the news broke in to my regular programming to say a plane crashed in our Hudson River, I heard a swarm of sirens, copters, and fire trucks that I haven't heard since 9/11 charging under my window, whizzing uptown.
